HB 3105 never made it out of calendars

I know that this is not exactly breaking news at this point, it's just that I am so happy that this happened. HB 3105 would have positively gutted our Gas Well Ordinance (stated to be one of the area's toughest by the Denton Record Chronicle).
I just had a chance to chase down some of the bills I was following from the regular session. HB 3105 never made it out of the calendars committee. Then the session ended and we can all cheer. Now that the cheering is over, we have to get back to watching our legislators in Austin. Since they did not get everything the Governor wanted, and there was some budget details left undone, there is a special session. Already bills have been introduced that have nothing to do with items on the agenda from the Governor.

Keffer was the original author - I'll be looking at what he has submitted for the special session. He could easily reintroduce this or attach it to something else. We have to stay vigilant and make sure we contact our reps and senators if we spot more bad bills like this.
